David Wagner is a world-renowned hair stylist, artist, entrepreneur, educator, and "Daymaker." He is the Owner/Daymaker of Juut Salonspas, the original Aveda salons.

The word "Juut" means to refill and replenish, and David's salons do just that. In fact, this is where David has nurtured his concept of Daymaking for over 24 years. Collectively, the salons serve nearly 4000 customers everyday, and each of his 400 employees consider themselves personally responsible for making their clients' days. He deeply believes that if we make other people's happiness part of what makes us happy, we can then consciously begin to change the world. This is the heart of the Daymaking concept, and David's mission.

David began his career in the late 1970s as a student at the Horst Education Center (now the Aveda Institute) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This began his long association with Horst Rechelbacher, founder and visionary of the beauty product giant, Aveda, and eventually led to collaboration in the Salon and Spa industry, until 1991 when David purchased Mr. Rechelbacher's Horst Salons to form his own Juut Salonspas.

David has taught his Daymaker concept to thousands all over the world, from high school students to business executives since 1986. His knowledge does not come from a formal education, just many experiences that have taught him on a soul level. He sees himself as part of a revolution of inspired people who see the opportunity to change the world simply by making another person's day. While some lament the state of the world and fear what the future will bring, David sees a planet on the brink of transformation. He believes that the world has more good than bad and that each of us has the ability to make the good bigger, while shrinking the bad. Kindness can inspire others, diffuse anger, bring hope, heal pain, and change the world.

David lives in Minnetrista, Minnesota with his wife, Charlie, and their daughters, Coco and Ava.
